Aims & Scope
PIER Photonics is an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the science, technology, and application of light across multiple disciplines. The journal provides a unified platform for researchers bridging optics, materials science, engineering, data science, and life sciences, to share innovations that harness photonic principles in diverse contexts — from quantum and nanophotonics to sensing, imaging, computation, bio-applications, and sustainability. The journal particularly values studies that integrate fundamental and applied perspectives, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and translate photonic discoveries into real-world impact. Its primary mission is to advance photonic technologies that contribute to sustainable industry, human health, and digital innovation.
